Fishman & Associates, Inc., a commercial kitchen design and equipment sales organization, has been contracted to design and provide the food service equipment for Sumter Place at The Villages.  Sumter Place will be a 108 unit assisted living facility on 3/4 of an acre north of Ocala, Florida.  Fishman & Associates, Inc. based in Venice, Florida does work thoughout the State of Florida, nationally and internationally.

Sarasota County Names Procurement Director

The much-maligned purchasing department of Sarasota County finally has a new leader.

Interim County Administrator Terry Lewis on Thursday announced he had selected Mark Thiele, currently the purchasing manager for the city of Cape Coral.

Thiele will start Aug. 29 and will be responsible for overseeing a complete overhaul of how the county spends taxpayer dollars. Thiele said he enjoys a challenge.
