Andersen Interior Contracting is looking for knowledgeable, experienced Interior Systems Foremen to coordinate operations and oversee workers at our numerous construction sites in the Tampa / Sarasota areas. As the liaison between workers and Project Managers, the Foreman will be the key person in charge of overseeing the completion of projects with a keen awareness of worker productivity, material expenses, permits, employee safety and other operational jobsite requirements. The ideal applicant will have a solid background in the field, strong leadership skills and the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. Foreman must be well-organized and heavily focused on safety at all times.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and ensure that all safety requirements are being followed at all times.
Monitor the attendance of jobsite crew.
Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel.
Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and our subcontractors.
Manage and train employees daily.
Provide for adequate resources and staffing to meet safety needs, regulations, best practices, laws and project schedule.
Emphasis on the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment including training on safety gear, procedures and jobsite specific.
Monitor and manage project budgets with Project Manager.
Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on-site quickly and amicably.
Report project status to supervisors, site engineers and officials regularly.
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or Carpenter Certification.
4+ years' experience as an Interior Systems Foreman.
Thorough understanding of gypsum board and acoustical systems coordination and execution including all related scenarios.
Extensive knowledge of best safety practices along with OSHA guidelines and standards.
Significant understanding of the use and maintenance of common Interior Systems equipment, tools and materials.
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others quickly.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to communicate and report effectively.
Aptitude in math and strong problem-solving abilities.
Good physical condition and stamina
Fluency in English required. Ability to additionally communicate in Spanish is a plus.
